Garden

Well to update you all on my gardens progress. Everything is growing well except some of the herbs have yet to come up. Also the green beans are half gone because of the bunnies.
I am planning to fence the garden this afternoon. I just need to go find some clips to make access into the garden space a little easier.
I will try to post some pictures of the tomatoes soon. They are growing very well.

It has been an interesting week. Last weekend was very fun at the MCC sale. I really enjoyed the chance to volunteer my time since I can't afford to purchase much. I did get a quilt rack and some books.
The week at work has been busier than I thought it would be. I am doing my normal job as well as doing some accounts payable work. I enjoy doing all of this since it helps me stay busy during the summer which is a slower time in all ministries for donations.
Last night I went with a few friends and got a henna tattoo. We had a great time talking and laughing while we waited for the henna to dry. I really like the one on my leg. It is a branch with flowers almost like apple or cherry blossoms. It looks a little like Japanese art which I like quite a bit.

I am at work with Mike waiting for a process to finish then we can go home. (It is my fault I am here. We could have left earlier from T & R's so Mike could bring me home first, but I was having to much fun.) I have had a crazy week. We are gearing up for the big fund-raising drive at work. It will be a lot of fun but much work. This morning we didn't have power in the whole building. My area had lights but no power to the computers. Other areas had computers but no lights. Although the only things they could do was play solitaire because the server room didn't have power. We kept busy with clean up tasks such as filing and sorting papers that had accumulated in my desk drawer. We were all happy when the power came back on at about 11am. We were getting hot since the AC was out also and we were running out of things to do.

Long Weekend

Well I am back from Oklahoma. It was a very quick trip but wonderful to see my parents. My dad was getting promoted and we went to see the ceremony. I could tell it was a big deal for him and I wanted to see this since I had not been to one yet and this is probably the last one. Mom and dad had just gotten their house on the Tues before we arrived and some of the furniture arrived the day we did. When you go overseas they don't allow you to take all of your furniture. They only give you about half of the normal weight allowance. I enjoyed the visit and we got to see a little more of Oklahoma. It can be very beautiful place.
